About
One firm, two names, one idea.
ESC hd, LLC builds the systems. designedconcepts.ai teaches people to run them. Same people, same ladder, different job.
Why this exists
Small businesses buy software they never turn on. Not because the software is bad — because nobody was taught how it fits into the work they already do, and the person who set it up left. A build without enablement is a subscription with a countdown on it.
So the two halves are deliberately separate. The build has an end date. The learning is what keeps the system alive after the invoice is paid.
The measure we judge our own work by is simple: does it buy the owner back hours? If it does not, it was not worth building.
How we work
Conservative by default
Client data stays where it is allowed to stay. We would rather run something smaller on your own machine than something impressive on somebody else's server.
Owned, not rented
Where we can, the system is code you own rather than a monthly fee you cannot leave.
Say no out loud
If the honest answer is "do not automate this", that is the answer you get.
Written down
Every build leaves a plain-English sheet behind. If we disappeared tomorrow, you could still run it.
Who you are talking to
David Chasten, founder. Mesa, Arizona. The first call is with the person who would do the work, not a salesperson — there is no salesperson.
